A smartcard reader is required to work with the HKUST Card. Reader-equipped PCs can be found at the following locations:

• in all Computer Barns
• all Virtual Barn Workstations
• on the G/F of the Library

Staff and students can also configure their PCs for accessing the HKUST Card functions. The PC should be equipped with a smartcard reader that conforms to the operation requirement of the card. These requirements are outlined in the section on Setup to Use the Card.
